2005 Easter Parade Creole Tomato Festival
|
The Vespa riding group kicked off the summer on June 12th with the French Market's Creole Tomato Festival Parade. This was the first parade where we got to ride behind a brass band. We decided that second lining on our scooters and beeping our horns along with the band was so much fun that a brass band would be a new requirement for all future parades

White Boot Brigade
|
The Crescent City Farmer's Market held the White Boot Brigades Festival the following Saturday to celebrate the brown shrimp season. Most of our twenty-some riders wore white shrimper boots aka Lafitte Slippers, Cajun Reeboks, or in the case of Missy's boots, Bucktown Blue Suede Shoes. We rode from the Saturday Farmer's Market on Magazine street across town to the Bywater Art Market in Markey Park.

| Over Memorial Day weekend, a group of us rode the scenic route over to Gulfport, Mississippi. Here's us and our Vespa ET4s and Grandturismos by the beach after lunch. |
