Vespa New Orleans

An Urban Transportation Revolution is Coming to Downtown New Orleans




 

The Materne family broke ground on phase 1 of the new Vespa New Orleans Downtown store (located at 901 Julia at Barrone) on April 8th. This new location, opening fall 2005, will replace the Mid-City store with a larger showroom, larger service area, and FREE covered parking for customers.

The construction is being followed by the crew from HGTV's "Opening Soon by Design". This cable series tracks new retail store openings from ground breaking to the Grand Opening party. The show is to be broadcast in January 2006. Stay tuned for contruction updates.

The DDD's Wednesday at the Square Concerts are in Full Swing




For the third year Vespa New Orleans is sponsoring the DDD's Wednesday at the Square Concert. This year has been a blast so far! The concerts are from 5:00pm to 7:30pm in Lafayette Square. The Vespa Booth's location has shifted a few times, but it is located in the middle of the park. Vespa parking is available. All scooters must be parked on the grass!

Walk the Beat Saturday May 7th




CALLING ALL VESPA RIDERS, COME RIDE WITH US SATURDAY MORNING. We have been invited to lead the Fun Run for the annual Walk the Beat Fundraising Event to be held on Saturday, May 7th in City Park. In conjunction with the event the N.O. Police Foundation is raffling a brand new Vespa ET2. Proceeds will benefit the New Orleans Police Department.

We will leave Vespa New Orleans at 8am sharp or you can meet us at Popp's Fountain (Zachary Taylor and Marconi) at 8:15am.

If you will be riding please RSVP so we can have a commemorative T shirt for you.

Raffle tickets are available for purchase at all NOPD Police Stations.

Bike New Orleans Saturday June 4th and Sunday June 5th




For the second year The Vespa Club will assist in Bike New Orleans Race & Tour. This year it is a full weekend of events. Everything starts on Saturday with a 40 mile bicycle race and ends on Sunday with a 24 mile tour of the city. Vespisti will be assisting with the race on Saturday. and ride ahead of the bikes to assist with water stations on Sunday. Last year was a blast!

French Quarter Festival Re-Cap




 

For the third year Vespa New Orleans sponsored the French Quarter Festival in early April. The Vespa Club kicked off the event on Friday morning by participating in the opening parade.

Vespa New Orleans donated a Vespa ET2 that was raffled off to benefit the French Quarter Festival. We are very happy to be able to support this wonderful free music festival!
